Barley: Quick-Cooking Whole Grain

Up your grain game by trying some new whole grains this winter.  They’re a perfect addition to soups and stews and can also be used to replace rice or noodles in some of your favorite dishes.  Not sure where to start? Try quick-cook barley in place of egg noodles in this crockpot stroganoff dish.

Step 1- Grab a pot, barley, and water.

Step 2- Add barley to boiling water and cover, reduce heat and cover. 

Step 3- 10 minutes later, remove from heat and let stand for 5 minutes
